Sovita passed away today

Sovita passed away suddenly and peacefully today, Saturday April 22nd, at about noon. She succumbed to a pulmonary embolism caused by the tumour. It was quick and painless; she didn't suffer. She was very well taken care of by the ER and ICU teams at the historic Hôtel-Dieu hospital, a few blocks from home.

We want to thank everyone who shared their love and affection with her over the last few weeks, since her brain cancer diagnosis. She absolutely adored the support and positive energy all around her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We'll organize a memorial service in the next while, to celebrate her life. We'll be sharing more details in the coming weeks about when and where. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières.
